The Weekly Projections accuracy contest will compare the predictions of the major fantasy sites each week and crown the most accurate site at the end of the year as Champion. The first four weeks of the 2009 season will be used to iron out any kinks in the contest set-up. The official contest will start in Week 5.

Determining which players to compare
A player listed among the top 12 QBs, top 24 RBs, top 30 WRs, top 12 TEs, or top 12 PKs by any participating site will go on the list for comparisons for that week.

Determining accuracy
Once the list of players is established, and the games have taken place, the projections for each player will be compared to the actual on-field results. The difference between the two is the error. These errors are then summed, and the site with the lowest total error will be #1 in the standings. The standings are cumulative throughout the season (other than the reset after Week 4 when the trial period is complete).

Note: This is simply a list of the sites being compared. A site’s presence on this list does not imply that they condone or endorse the contest.

Fantasy scoring system
The following scoring system will be used in calculations
Passing Yards: 25 yards/pt
Passing TDs: 4 pts
Interceptions: -1 pts
Rushing/Receiving Yards: 10 yards/pt
Rushing/Receiving TDs: 6 pts
(Because many sites do not project 2 point conversions, fumble return TDs, or fumbles/fumbles lost, those stats will not be included in the contest.)

Kicker scoring
FGs
0-39 yds: 3 pts
40-49 yds: 4 pts
50+ yds: 5 pts
Extra points: 1 pt
